A Counsellor provides a supportive and confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences. A Sex & Relationship Therapist has additional training in understanding human sexuality, including intimacy, desire, sexual functioning, identity, and relationships. As both a Counsellor and Sex & Relationship Therapist, I work with individuals across a broad range of concerns, recognising that sexuality is one part of a person's overall wellbeing and is not always the focus of therapy.

Therapy offers a space to better understand yourself, your relationships, and the patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing. Together, we'll explore what has brought you to therapy, make sense of your experiences, and work towards what feels important to you, at a pace that feels manageable.

This is very common. The first session is a space to go at your pace, explore what brings you here, and see whether therapy feels like a good fit. There is no pressure to share everything at once.

I often work alongside GPs, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other health professionals as part of a client’s broader support network. With client consent, I will collaborate and communicate with your existing treating teams to support continuity of care.
My role is typically to focus on relational dynamics, intimacy, sexual wellbeing, and the emotional and behavioural patterns that may not always be the primary focus in other forms of treatment. This collaborative approach helps ensure care is integrated and aligned with the client’s overall wellbeing.

Counselling sessions are not currently eligible for Medicare rebates. However, some private health funds offer rebates for counselling services through Extras cover. As eligibility varies between funds and policies, I recommend checking directly with your insurer to confirm your available benefits.
Some of the eligible health funds may include:
Medibank, AHM, Bupa, HCF, ARHG
If you have any questions about rebates or provider eligibility, please feel free to get in touch.

My practice currently focuses on working with individual adults. Working individually allows us to explore your unique experiences, relationship patterns, attachment style, sexuality and sense of self in depth. Many clients find that strengthening their relationship with themselves has a positive impact on all of their relationships.
If you're seeking couples counselling, I'm happy to recommend practitioners whose practice focuses on relationship therapy for couples.

Sessions provide a structured space to explore what is happening for you, understand patterns, and work toward meaningful change. This may include reflection, discussion, and practical strategies that we have established together to meet your goals and experiences.
-
Session frequency depends on your goals and needs. Some people begin with weekly sessions, while others prefer fortnightly or a more flexible arrangement. We can discuss and adjust this together over time.

No referral is required. You can book directly to see me. I am a certified Clinical Counsellor, which means that you can check with you health fund whether our counselling sessions can be covered. This may require a referral from your GP or specialist.
